Kelun Goes to the Stricken Area to Visit Medical Assistance Teams from Germany and Britain

On the afternoon of May 24, Kelun Pharmaceutical led its motorcade fully loaded with daily necessities, food and medicines to the quake-devastated city - Dujiangyan. Under the guidance of officials with Dujiangyan Health Bureau., Kelun came to the mobile hospital being set up by the German medical assistance team. Annette, commissioner with Germany Disaster-relief Commission, told Kelun staffs the mobile hospital was equipped with in-patient department and nursing department, covering internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics and gynecology, as well as performing operations, providing medical examination and X-ray checking. Most their equipment could operate in tremor without electricity supply. They are highly concentrated in design, therefore easy to transport yet with a complete range of functions. The hospital can provide 120 beds at least and 250 at most, and receive 250,000 patients daily. Its receiving capacity equals to that of a Chinese hospital at county level. Their advanced medical assistance equipment gasps Kelun in admiration. In Kelun’s brotherly talking with the German team, the latter expressed inclination to donate this mobile hospital to China after they went back to Germany. Kelun showed its heart-felt appreciation for their humanistic spirit in disregard of national boundaries.
The next day, Kelun went to Mianyang city to visit British medical assistance team there.
