Kelun Takes Initiative to Provide Logistic Assistance to Various Medical Assistance Teams

At present, Medical Assistance Organizations dispatched to Sichuan province is devoid of a strong logistic support. There has been a shortage in food, drinking water and other daily necessities. Report from the front line shows health status of the Rescue Team members is being threatened, with some experiencing malaise like diarrhea. Rescue effectiveness is affected as a result.

On the evening of May 16, Kelun held an emergency meeting presiding by board chairman Liu Gexin. In the meeting, board of the company made a decision to take concrete actions to assist medical organizations from all parts of China to Sichuan province. Right after the meeting, managers of Kelun’s nationwide affiliates were called back to Chengdu. They connected with various Rescue Teams(e.g. the manager from Jiangsu province contacted Jiangsu Rescue Team, with whom Jiangsu Kelun had daily business contact) or directly reached them to help hand out and collect feedback forms, according to which Kelun sent wanted materials to medical staffs. Kelun has dispatched altogether five trucks of rescue and relief materials hitherto.

On the morning of May 18, the board chairman of Kelun, Liu Gexin, being too solicitous about the victims and rescue staffs, went to the stricken area in person along with his team. Three trucks of rescue and relief materials were taken with them to the most severely stricken areas like Anxian, Jiangyou and Pingwu County of Mianyang City, and Qingchuan County of Guangyuan City. Kelun hopes those medicines and logistic materials could help medical teams to relieve the situation.
